Principal Scientific Engineer at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab
I am a Principal Scientific Engineer at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. Prior to joining the lab, I completed my Master's in Energy Science, Technology and Policy from Carnegie Mellon University and hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from BITS Goa, India. I am also pursuing a part-time PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, advised by Prof. Mario Bergés and Prof. Burcu Akinci.
My research focuses on using network-connected devices in buildings for monitoring and optimized controls to improve building operations. I am also involved in several projects that study grid-building interactions for demand response, resilience, and load flexibility.
I am currently involved in the ASHRAE S231p standard development and support the LBNL team in their ASHRAE S223p standard development efforts.
