Principal Scientific Engineer at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab

About Me

I am a Principal Scientific Engineer at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. Prior to joining the lab, I completed my Master's in Energy Science, Technology and Policy from Carnegie Mellon University and hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from BITS Goa, India. I am also pursuing a part-time PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, advised by Prof. Mario Bergés.

My research focuses on enabling demand flexibility at scale - developing tools and frameworks for developing portable demand flexible technologies. I work with Marco Pritoni and Michael Wetter and am also involved in several projects that study grid-building interactions for demand response, resilience, and load flexibility.

I'm also co-leading an IEA Annex 96 activity on Information models and data management with Dimitrios Rovas and am currently involved in the ASHRAE S231 development and support the LBNL team in their ASHRAE S223 development efforts. I was also a panel leader for ACEEE Summer Study 2026.
